This Renaissance house was built in 1528 by Jehan de l'Espine, the doctor of Queen Marguerite de Navarre. It owes its name to the bas-relief of its facade, but in reality the characters who are represented there would be more likely Ariadne and Bacchus, accompanied by signs of the zodiac. The building is classified as historic monuments for the house, with the exception of buildings at the bottom of the courtyard, since January 25, 1913 (decree confirmed for this part by decree of February 8.
