Pavel Singaevski (1922-2000) «Landscape», Oil Painting, 1958 (1)

Pavel Filipovich Singaevski was born in 1922 in the village Shatrishche in Korosten (Zhytomyr) Region, Ukraine, and died in 2000 in West Ukrainian regional centre Lviv. He studied at the Odesa Art College until 1949, and afterwards lived and worked in Lviv, where he was a very popular painter.

Rudolf Raimund Ballabene was born in Zurndorf in Burgenland in 1890. Ballabene studied German literature and philosophy in Prague from 1909 because his father forbade him to study painting. After the end of the First World War he devoted himself entirely to painting and concentrated on landscapes and still lifes with flowers.
