It is generally thought that silk brocade renders a Thangka more attractive and more religious. Medicine Buddha is, as the name implies, the Healing Buddha. According to the legend, he transformed himself into a radiant blue light Buddha at a large gathering of people and taught/transmitted the knowledge of healing and medicine. Thus, he is often depicted with blue skin or holding a blue medicine jar. Medicine is typically depicted seated, wearing the three robes of a Buddhist monk, holding a lapis-colored jar of medicine nectar in his left hand and the right hand resting on his right knee, holding the steam of the Aruna fruit or Myrobalan. In the sutra, he is also described by his aura of lapis lazuli-colored light.A mandala is a spiritual and ritual symbol in Asian cultures. It can be understood in two different ways: externally as a visual representation of the universe or internally as a guide for several practices that take place in many Asian traditions, including meditation. In Hinduism and Buddhism, the belief is that by entering the mandala and proceeding towards its center, you are guided through the cosmic process of transforming the universe from one of suffering into one of joy and happiness.[Size: 109 cm x 94 cm]Material Used:• Cotton Canvas• Natural Pigments and Colors• Gold Leaf • Silk Fabric~Excellent for meditation or home/office decor,~Tibetan Yoga Wall Art~Genuine 100% hand-painted from Himalayas

Oil Portrait Napoleon Bonaparte Wearing the Grand Cross of the Légion d’honneur

Napoleon Bonaparte is among the most recognisable and consistently collected historical figures in Western portraiture, and this composition leans fully into the visual language of imperial authority. He is portrayed in formal French military dress uniform, clutching his sabre, and wearing the insignia of the National Order of the Legion of Honour (Ordre national de la Légion d’honneur)—France’s highest order of merit, founded by Napoleon in 1802 to reward both military and civil distinction. The decorations are clearly staged as status signals: the standard Légion d’honneur badge is shown suspended from a red ribbon with a white enamel cross, while the left breast bears the large “tinsel” style star of the Grand Cross (Knight Grand Cross) type, associated with the order’s highest grade.
