See photos. About 14.5 x 11 1/4. I am the 3rd owner of this painting, the sitter being the first owner. The second owner purchased from a former reputable estate sales co in KCMO. I shopped them. I purchased from another reputable estate sales co. You can see the paperwork. Painted on a wood panel? The bride, once she was a mother, added her child who must have favored her father. I think we see a daughter. I am assuming this is from the south per the notes. I don’t know if the sitter is identified on back. Sitz is the painter. Sold as is. Remarkable condition for the age. Crazing throughout and roughness on the edge. Beautiful, imo.
The flowers outside the window are what caught my eye. They are thickly painted in vibrant colors to almost be 3D. The colors in the painting glow with light. There is a band of linen matting framing the painting.
This beautiful oil painting on canvas by Carol Bowcheir portrays a serene winter landscape with a barn and architectural elements in the background. The framing and custom matting add to the overall aesthetic of the piece, making it a perfect addition to any art collection. The painting was created in 1970 in Baldwinsville, NY and is an original, one-of-a-kind work of art. The painting measures 16 inches in length and 14.5 inches in width, with a thickness of 2 inches. It is a medium-sized piece that is perfect for display on a wall or shelf. The primitivism and folk art style of the painting make it a unique and valuable addition to any home or office.
