She was known for her love of detail which is reflected in her paintings primarily of the picturesque countryside of California, its lakes and rivers, plush greenery and graceful trees. She was born in Illinois, studied at the Mark Hopkins Art Institute, s ettled in San Francisco and spent her years in California where she died in 1932
