CHARMING OLD 19TH CENTURY ANTIQUE FIGURATIVE LANDSCAPE IMPRESSIONIST OIL PAINTING ON CANVAS. (CIRCA 1890s) THIS WORK DEPICTS FOUR CHILDREN JOYFULLY WALKING ALONG A LUSH COUNTRYSIDE PATH, THEIR EXPRESSIONS RADIATING ENERGY AND INNOCENCE. THE ARTIST SKILLFULLY CAPTURES THE MOVEMENT OF THEIR PLAYFUL STEPS AND THE SUNLIT FIELDS THAT STRETCH INTO THE DISTANCE. SIMPLY AMAZING. THIS PIECE IS SIGNED IN THE LOWER LEFT-HAND CORNER; HOWEVER, THE SIGNATURE IS PARTIALLY FADED-ILLEGIBLE. IT’S OVER 100 YEARS OLD. GOOD OVERALL CONDITION. MILD WEAR AS SHOWN. It has been hanging as is in my office for years and is often complimented.
