A superb 18th century reverse glass oil painting of Saint Peter attributed to Swiss artist Anna Maria Barbara Abesch, attributed inscription seen verso. It is done on period wavy glass with appropriate small inclusions. Painting is well rendered and ready for display! It is in good condition overall with light toning, scattered small small spots of worn paint, etc. It is housed in a 19th century giltwood frame with wear and some finish loss.
