‘He was writing the genealogy of the Anthony family, and his manuscript on the life of Gilbert Stuart (famous Revolutionary portrait painter whose mother was Elizabeth Anthony) quickened my desire to draw and paint.

The subject is a dark solemn deep big eyed wan. Cabrera was born in Sexmoan, Pampanga. He studied art at the College of Fine Arts and the University of the Philippines. He was apparently influenced by Margaret Keane’s «Big Eye» style of the period.
