Sevier County’s Iva Prince Signed & Framed Oil on Canvas “Old Mill Stream”, 1986

**distressed wooden frame has visible scratches** Iva Prince was born on a farm in Sevier County, Tennessee. She was inspired very early by the beauty of nature and has used that passion ever since to create art. Ms. Prince had no formal training, but instead created her art from what she felt and saw. A truly talented outsider artist much of her work is by memory of her childhood. She was known as the «Grandma Moses of the Smokies”. She lived in Cosby, TN and spent a lot of her time in the studio.
