Up for sale is this antique circa 1930 watercolor on paper seascape painting depicting a marina with sailboats with a large three story building on the land. It is signed illegibly in lower right and in good condition.
Jim titled this piece “COWS ON A HILL”. Also included is a photo of Jim painting this piece at the easel. He also studied classical painting in Seville, Spain. This painting is an original one of a kind piece of artwork.
In 1932, he studied at Grand Central Art School and made his first trip to study in Italy. In the late 190s he had a one-man show at A.C.A. Gallery in New York. His first solo exhibit was at Salpeter Gallery in New York City, where he showed annually from 1959 through 1969 and 1961 marked a one man show at Guild Hall in East Hampton, New York.
