Watercolor artists choose Aquabord because unlike paper, it will not tear, shrink, or buckle even under the heaviest water application and it requires no stretching or mounting – perfect for plein air painting!
It is an Original Watercolor on Stiff, Deckled (rough-edged) watercolor paper. It dates from the 1980’s-1990’s. The imagery has a nautical feel to us but maybe that’s the blues and greens that are reminiscent of the seas and oceans.
It is virtually indistinguishable from the original oil or acrylic painting and has very long lasting qualities. This causes the oil substrate to liquefy with the laminated canvas and fill the cracks and crevices of the mold.
