Up for sale is a GREAT – ORIGINAL – LARGE Oil On Canvas by Leon La Fourcade (1898-1978). It is signed by the artist on the bottom left. There is no date, but painting looks earlier than WWII. It comes with its original frame, which is etched with the name and address of the artist on the back. The painting is no longer connected to the frame. The frame is old and has heavy wear, chips, breaks, and pieces missing. The frame measures approximately 35″ x 29″. The actual painting is approximately 29″ x 24″. There is a small pinhole in the piece, otherwise, it is in Good Condition. However, there is age and dust build-up. This is a VERY COLLECTIBLE and BEAUTIFUL piece. Vintage Chinese Watercolor On Silk With Embroidery Painting 20″x29″ Wood Frame
Chinese watercolor and ink on silk with embroidered pink flowers. 13″x22″ inside 20″×29″ Black wooden frame with black wooden mat. The back of frame is wood with old nails and hanging fixtures. The inside of the glass could use some cleaning, but I didn’t want to disturb the integrity of this piece. The Chinese characters translate loosely to The spirit in the mountains suddenly breaks out from the stone.
