Gizella Barabas Hungarian Artist Birds & Flowers Miniature WC Painting
Gizella Barabas (Hungary, 1893-1985) was a post war artist most know for her watercolor paintings. This small miniature painting depicts a pair of birds on the edge of a water barrel surrounded by potted flowers and colorful bushes in the summertime. The painting is signed lower left «Barabas Gizella» and is painted on tanned paper. It is housed in a simple gilt wood molding frame with protective glass front. Measures; sight size 4 3/8″ x 3 1/4″, framed 7″ x 5 3/4″ .
