Antique Painting Landscape with Figures Oil on Canvas XVIII Century Original

Antique Painting Landscape with Figures Oil on Canvas XVIII Century Original. Oil on canvas. Venetian school of the 18th century. The landscape, rather barren and with snow-capped mountain peaks in the background, frames in the foreground a family of shepherds, sitting to rest on the edge of the road outside the village, while their herd drinks from the nearby stream; in the meantime they converse and ask directions to the commoner who passes by on the path with her basket under her arm. Restored and relined, the painting is presented in a period frame.

Namaste and Welcome to my Gallery!!!All of the paintings and arts in my gallery are originally handmade and hand-painted by my family members and other local artists who have been practicing their craft for over two decades. My father is Master Artists Nepal with an experience of more than four decades; you can see some of his work in this Gallery. Also you can see some of the beautiful and soulful artwork of talented local artists from Himalayas. ~~Green Tara Mandala~~Silk brocading is a process of framing a Thangka in traditional Tibetan style. The frame is made of beautiful silk fabric having rich colors and patterns. The silk fabric protects the edges of the Thangka, and also makes it easier to hang. A thin silk cover protects the painting when rolled, and may be gathered up to display the painting when hung on the wall. It is generally thought that silk brocade renders a Thangka more attractive and more religious. She is specially known for her power to overcome the most difficult situation, giving protection against danger and all kinds of fear. Her green colour body is that of the active Enlightenment of Feminine Compassion and indicates that the Tara is always willing and ready to help. A mandala is a spiritual and ritual symbol in Asian cultures. It can be understood in two different ways: externally as a visual representation of the universe or internally as a guide for several practices that take place in many Asian traditions, including meditation. In Hinduism and Buddhism, the belief is that by entering the mandala and proceeding towards its center, you are guided through the cosmic process of transforming the universe from one of suffering into one of joy and happiness.[Size: 70cm x 58cm]Material Used:• Cotton Canvas• Natural Pigments and colors• 24k Gold leaf• Silk Fabric~Excellent for meditation or home/office decor,~Wall art for Yoga~Genuine 100% hand-painted from HimalayasPlease feel free to contact me if you have any question regarding the painting.
