Old Carl Brandorff Listed Artist Oil Painting on Canvas Board. The painting is an old Street Scene featuring a church in a Nice Handmade that is an etched or Carved Frame, and looks like it handmade from an old Texas crate. The painting is of of a 2 Steeple Church in an an Old Town, maybe a Western Town or even a Texas city. The picture has a nice hand carved wooden frame that is also quite old. The painting could have been done anywhere but the Rio and Texas made me think it was a Texas town. The site size is 6 5/8 inches by 4 7/8 or about 12 3/4 inches by 10 3/4 inches including the frame. THE FRAME LOOKS LIKE IT WAS MADE FROM AN OLD CRATE, that looks like it says RIO and TEXAS.
Dimensions are of the frame. He looks to be perhaps partly pencil but most watercolor. The frame & glass appear original. There may have been another hanger as there is a hole nearer the center of the top & the current hanger, also period, is closer to the back edge. Nice look & also nice there is a name & date. Him or the artist? who knows. Which ever, we know he or the artist came from Leeds.
