This is for a signed original Bill Paxton Maine artist original framed painting of «Boston & Maine RR Boston, Mass 1940». Bill Paxton was a well respected Maine artist who passed away in 2007. Frame measures 11 1/2 inches length by 9 1/2 inches height. Painting itself measures 9 1/2 inches by 7 1/2 inches. In good vintage condition with light scattered dust to canvas. Frame has a few scattered edge/ corner bumps, scratches along with backside backing having two small hole/tears where the table stand/flap would’ve been mounted/attached. Alice Blair Thomas (Pollard) was born in Collingwood, Ontario in 1857. She married Richard Thomas in 1887 and they remained in Toronto where she was active in the arts. She exhibited at the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts in 1901, 1904 and 1916.
