This is the ONLY one of THIS painting in existence. Condition : This painting is in great condition. My work draws on my experience as one who loves all things in nature and is fascinated by the evolution of modern society.
The product is an original miniature watercolor painting titled «Home of the Free» by artist Donna Hawk. This small unframed painting depicts a landscape scene featuring a barn, fence, and American flag, capturing the essence of Americana and nature themes. Handmade in the USA, this signed piece showcases the artist’s unique style and technique, making it a charming and collectible addition to any art collection.
Both paintings are hand signed by the artist, signatures read «Lee W. Hughes Jr» and «Lee Hughes». Lee Hughes (1930-2014) is a listed artist New Jersey; he studied painting in Connecticut as a young man.
Artist: Unknown No signature to be found! There are some possible artist initials written in pencil on the frame but not certain. Beautiful small painting! A little gem! Purchased out of Connecticut Medium: oil on board Dates: exact age is unknown as painting is not dated and artist is unknown. Looks be 1920’s to maybe 1930’s or older Antique vintage frame Measures: Painting- 4.25” x 7.5” Frame- 5” x 8.5” Condition: pin holes around margins from artist hanging, frame abrasions to margins, abrasions to corners, paint loss in those areas, tiny paint flecks in a couple areas( see middle ground), small paint crack on center top below one of the pin holes. Frame hides most of the abrasions to painting. Abrasions were probably caused from the painting being loose in frame. Some light toning from age. Could use some mild restoration to areas described above. Hangs exceptionally well in current state. This painting is a little treasure! It’s just beautiful! Frame condition: Light scuffs, scratches, mild paint loss and wear from use and age. Overall in nice condition for age! Painting is sold as-is, as shown in images.
Fine condition. The details of her early waterfront scenes which showed a mastery of precise form and nuanced color grew more passionate than, for example, Rocky Neck’s most emblematic artist, Emile Gruppe, and freer in form than the highly regarded Harry Leith-Ross, with whom she studied.
