The tower in the background is the Baltimore City College High School, the third oldest high school in America opened in 1839 an apparently still active. The main part of the painting, the building in front … we don’t know what it is exactly (maybe you do and can tell us) but it looks to be a modern 1950s or 1960s building, perhaps next to a park in the foreground. The painting would look better in a different frame. This one has glass although most oil paintings don’t. The frame sort of overwhelms the painting and the painting is busy enough. Great find.
