This piece is titled «Asparagus Meets Onion» and is from my Sun-Washed series. It was painted outdoors in full sun from life, not a photograph. It’s painted on stretched, gessoed canvas with oil paint and has a satin UV varnish. It’s a nice small piece that can fit almost anywhere. Juicy fruits, colorful vegetables, glasses of wine, I adore all of these pleasures, so it?s natural for me to paint them. Plus, they don’t move. My other love is foreign travel. I often combine objects from my adventures with food. Early in life I started a Peruvian imports business after working in a coal mine for several years. I continued to paint and study art privately, including mural painting in England. I have sold through galleries in Santa Fe, Denver and Loveland, Co. Currently, I am both painting and have my import business. I also founded a cat rescue in rural Colorado. I am very excited about being able to offer my paintings and prints on Ebay.
