1900 E. Adams Morning Sunrise American Impressionist O/C Painting

The painting is an oil on canvas wrapped and laid on an hard cardboard. It is signed lower left E.Adams with an illegible word underneath. The painting depicts a morning sunrise in the summer time. The sky is quite illuminated from the sun with colors of yellow, orange and reds. It needs a a nice frame and will look even better! Measures; painting 9″ x 12″ .

William Ladd Taylor (Massachusetts, 1854-1926) was an American illustrator known for his narrative, historically accurate, and emotionally expressive works. Born in Grafton, Massachusetts, he attended Worcester public schools before studying mechanical drawing and working as a draftsman. He later pursued formal art training in Boston, at the Art Students League in New York, and in Paris under noted instructors Gustave Boulanger and Jules Lefebvre (1884–1885). Taylor’s illustrations often appeared in popular magazines of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, blending meticulous historical detail with a deep sensitivity to human character.
