She was born in Pretoria, South Africa, and married the painter Edward Bishop in 1956, having moved to London, where she settled, in 1952. Showed regularly at RA Summer Exhibitions, also at Grosvenor Gallery, Roland, Browse & Delbanco and elsewhere. Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool holds her work.
