«Little Big Horn» Big Horn Sheep come rest on the golf courses out here in the desert. When the days are hot, which is so much of the year, it is amazing to golf and see the wildlife along the trails and mountains. This was inspired by big horn sheep at the SilverRock Resort in La Quinta California. Original Watercolor paints on paper. The paper measures approximately 6″ X 6″, but the painting only covers 4″, this beauty was painted on acid free 140 lb. watercolor paper. Not framed and not matted, The painting will be mailed flat. «Tile Window onto Cove Trail» featured in this small 9″ X 11″ beauty is the view from the Bear Creek hiking trail in the La Quinta Cove, the trail runs all around the Santa Rosa Mountains but this portion is in my neighborhood and a favorite place to sit and watch the shadows change during the day. I Painted it within the painted tile window from my imagination. The local architecture often features tiles such as these and I keep some around for insipation. I love their vibrancy and variety. It was painted on acid free 300 lb. Very heavy watercolor paper. La Quinta Cove is located in a small community surrounded by the Santa Rosa Mountains in Southern California near Palm Springs where there are so many roadrunners and at night you can hear the coyotes. This painting is sold unframed and not matted. It measures approximately 9″ by 11″ with a small border down one side as the tiles worked nicer that way. It will look great matted and framed, probably custom framing would be nice.
