Marcia Ashwin Marcia was born in Perth but has lived all her life in Wiluna. She has a daughter Joella and likes to spend time in the bush. She started painting in 2000. Her favourite subjects are echidna (porcupines) and bush tucker. She has had works featured in fremantle arts centre and is also featured in many native aboriginal galleries across Australia An artist to watch as she grows with her works She has also featured her works in parrtjima festival where her work was projected all around in a moving outside night gallery featuring many Amazing Aboriginal Artists This piece is called «echidna» and is one of her most favorite topics in all of her works She loves the to paint the amazing creature as in this piece huge effort in part doing as many generations have , making art speak is very hard but this has a whole story waiting for you to unravel , be it a echidna meeting its mate for a few bites to eat or it seeing its reflection for the first time in a body of still water let the story come to life and you will truly see the amazingly stunning art form created by the many generations that own this beautiful country we call Australia
