Stunning framed ORIGINAL antique MINIATURE PORTRAIT of a LADY on VELLUM signed MIMN xlnt! Offered for purchase is this fine original antique miniature portrait painting on vellum in a black enameled wood frame with domed glass. It is signed with a signature that looks like «MIMN,» and features a lovely woman in pink gown with pearls in her hair. The painting has a brown paper sheet attached to it’s back along the bottom edge which has some writing on it (see photo.) The painting may show brighter with a white backing paper as the vellum is translucent. Dimensions of the art are 3.75 inches wide x just over 4.75 inches tall, and dimensions of the frame are 6.75 inches wide x just over 7.75 inches tall. Condition of the painting is very good with just one small faint spot that I can see on her chest. The wood frame shows a little wear to the enamel along the edges.
