OLIVER WARMAN RBA (1932-2019) French post impressionist 20thC oil painting

ARTIST: Oliver Warman RBA ROI (1932-2019) British TITLE: «Punts On A French River» MEDIUM: oil on board SIZE: 64cm x 54cm inclusive of frame CONDITION: very good NOTES: Painter in oil of landscapes and gardens, born in London. He was educated at Stowe School, Royal Military College of Science, at Balliol College, Oxford, and studied art at Exeter University. Warman was for some time a regular officer in the Welsh Guards. He was a member of RBA from 1984 and ROI, 1989. Was chief executive of Federation of British Artists and a director of Arts News Agency. He showed at RA Summer Exhibition, RBA, NEAC, ROI, RWA and RSMA as well as The Hann Gallery, Bath. In 1990 had solo exhibition at Bowmoore Gallery. American Embassy, National Westminster Bank and S G Warburg held his work. Lived latterly in Verteillac, France.
