Here is a wonderful Regionalsim painting by Hector Salas oil on canvas. Has a very mid-western look. Would be good in a modern house. The painting itself is 24″ x 36″ and with the frame it is 28 1/2″ x 40 1/2″. The work is in great condition. Hector Salas, Engineer-turned artist, combines energetic brush work and visual impact to transform his natural inspirations into realistic landscapes, barns, silos, fences and covered bridges.Born in Argentina in 1926, he studied at the Academia Provincial de Bellas Artes and attended the Facultad de Arquitectura provincia de Cordoba, Argentina, where he began to work semi-abstract vein, making abstract paintings and murals.

For sale is a large, vintage original oil on canvas painting by Listed Artist Hector Salas. Hector Salas (Argentinian, b. 1926) later moved to the USA and is best known for his realistic landscapes including many scenes of barns, silos and fences. The is a rare subject for the artist– a beach seascape capturing the tranquility of the water’s edge. It embodies many of the details the artist is known for in his numerous auctioned works including his trademark birds, clouds, fences and grass tumbling in the wind. It is framed in a stunning dark wood period frame with a beautiful intricately carved design. This stunning oil is in overall lovely condition with very light vintage wear to the frame. It measures about 33 x 29 inches framed and is on an impressive Anco Bilt stretcher. Please refer to photos as a part of the description of this beautiful Salas work. All vintage framed artwork is sold as is. It is up to the buyer to determine that all hardware is secure before hanging.
