Dated 1967 and signed illegibly in the lower right corner. Watercolor – 13 3/4″ x 18 1/4″. Very interesting the more you look at it. Waviness along the edges from being tape mounted to the matting for so long.
This is a late 19thC. European landscape painting. it is an oil on thick hard cardboard and depicts a woman at the well with chickens in the foreground. She stands besides a thatched roof house and out building. The painting is signed lower left, I can’t make out the whole signature, the last name ends in «ovich». It is housed in a silvered wood molding frame with tan mat and protective glass front. Measures; sight size 9 1/2″ x 12 1/2″», framed 15 1/2″ x 18 1/2″ .
