Medium: Oil on canvas boardCanvas/board size: 9″H x 12″W (approx.)Overall/frame size: 16″H x 19″W x 2″D (approx.)Signature: E. Cole Jun (lower left)Well Listed Artist: Edwin Cole (British listed artist, 1868 – 1935)Provenance: Private collector in Toronto This painting is done on canvas, glued to a thin and hard board of about 1 mm thick, backed by another (softer, carton) board of about 1 mm thick. Condition:The painting is in overall good antique or vintage condition — no damage (tear or dent or hole) to the painting. However, it has some fine cracks on the surface. There are two tiny gold paint drops of about 1 mm in diameter each (most possibly landed on the painting during the frame repainting process.) The original antique gesso and wood frame has some wear, consistent with age. The frame was repainted (gilded) in parts and gesso repaired in parts. The painting was examined out of the frame. The last photo shows the canvas (front) and thin hard board (back). Please check all the photos for condition details. These photos are part of the Description of the Listing.
