THREE ANTIQUE TERRACOTTA PLANTERS SITS AT THE LEFT OF THE DOORWAY. THIS PAINTING IS A TRUE MASTERPIECE EXECUTED BY ONE OF EUROPES GREATEST ANIMAL PAINTERS. ARTHUR CHARLES DODD IS WELL KNOWN FOR HIS MASTERFUL ANIMAL AND SPORTING SUBJECTS WORKING INITIALLY IN TUNBRIDGE WELLS LATER DEDHAM IN ESSEX. HIS HUNTING SCENES TEND TO GIVE A PROFOUND PROMINENCE TO THE HOUNDS, WITH THE HORSES BEING A LESS SIGNIFICANT PART OF THE COMPOSITION.
