This is an Interesting, RARE LINOCUT PRINT CATALOGUE for the 1979 Exhibition of LINOCUT PRINTS, by Australian Artist VERA BLACKBURN, (1911 – 1991). The Catalogue was compiled by ROGER BUTLER. VERA BLACKBURN, Australian, (1911 – 1991).
This is made using a relief print. I first carve away the negative space (where I don’t want the ink to be). After all of that I mix the color, the ink and stamp it onto paper. Because I mix the ink to achieve this gray purple, lovely color. Each print is a little different in shade and crispiness. So each print is entirely unique.
