Pierre-Leonard Cousin (1788 Limoges – after 1840) was a pupil of Saint and Aubry. Once, in 1822, he exhibited at the Salon de Paris. Cousin taught painting and miniature and trained quite a large number of students.
Creator: Eduard Friedrich Leybold – attrib. He studied at the Vienna Academy and between 1822 and 1847 regularly participated in academical exhibitions. He worked as a painter of portraits in oil and watercolor and in miniatures and was also a lithographer.
It is possible that he was son (nephew?). of the famous (and eponymous!). Austrian hussar officer who died in 1806 with the rank of major general, Baron Anton Revay. Technique : watercolor painting (oval).

The artist won more and more the esteem of his fellow-citizens and from 1828 to 1831 he was the president of the municipal council and the following year, deputy. The museum of Breslau (Wroclaw) had several of them.
