CONDITION: Excellent, though I note how the artist himself or herself apparently nailed the canvas to the stretcher through the front side, then painted over the nail heads. I count roughly 12 nail heads, painted over, around the edges of the painting.

It depicts a violinist playing by a country cottage in a beautiful river landscape. Condition: Overall very good condition. There is light cracking throughout the surface which is consistent with the age of the painting but it in no way detracts from beauty of the work.
