Captivating original pastel portrait of a very young Native American child signed by Canadian artist M. Hamerton. Details of the sale of this portrait available on artvalue.ca; sold in 2016 for $108. Unfortunately, the frame is a little rough and has some minor damage around the edges. Also, the painting was not stored properly and a few little critters – Tiny bugs- were able to crawl up from the bottom to the inside of the painting near the signature. However, no damage was done but a few of the little bug casings are still in there between the glass and the paper. Fortunately they did no damage. I did not remove the backing to clean them out because I did not want to do any damage myself, since they did not compromise the integrity of this lovely chalk-like pastel.
