«Sail Away» oil painting by Scott M. Duncan. Painting has been stored in a smoke and pet free home. Scott Duncan graduated with a B.F.A. from the Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY in 1967. After graduation, he spent two years as an illustrator for the US Army Exhibit Unit in Alexandria Virginia. Since that time he has concentrated on painting full time. Duncan’s works have been published in Reader’s Digest, Good Housekeeping, Family Circle, Columbia, Grosset, Dunlap, and numerous other literary works. Four of his portraits have been purchased by Time magazine for use on their cover. Scott Duncan’s paintings are in permanent collections of the Pentagon, Washington DC, and the Cornell Museum, Iowa. In addition, his works are included in personal collections such as those of the actress Helen Hayes and the pianist Liberace. He has had numerous exhibitions and received many awards from prestigious groups including the Society of Illustrators and The Federations of Artists. Please examine photos for further details.
