Circa ’70s. The painting consists of various pieces of a canvas like material which are applied to the main canvas, and they’re painted over. They give the appearance of rich texture throughout (see photos).

Victor Chab was born in Buenos Aires city, September 6th in 1930, into a family of Jewish immigrants. When he was thirteen, just after primary school, Chab had a clear calling for painting. The jury, composed of Antonio Berni and Miguel Carlos Victorica, among others, gave the prize to the piece «Apple on the Table».
As a child, Laura painted, sculpted and attended a variety of academies throughout the South. Along with fine art paintings in acrylics and oils, Laura uses clay as her canvas, focusing on tile murals and decorative painted urn vases.
