A very good example of «noted artist» Albert Blaisdell’s work in watercolor. This California desert scene is extremely well done with great depth and atmospheric effects. the heat and expansiveness of the desert environment is clearly mastered by the artist. As a small image painting the artist has lavished his composition with a multitude of items to convey to the eye the openness and vastness of the desert scene. the minutest details are truly mastered. artwork size: 5″ x 7″ framed in 8″x 10″ format. with brown coffee matt. frame oak with hand rubbed natural stain / non glare glass. / hanging bar at back. For the collector of fine art this is a real jewel. great artist/ great subject matter/high technical watercolor skill. one owner / original art show purchase: 1980s Columbia, California.

He also found great inspiration in the area’s purplish mountains and its rolling hills with poppies and lupines. The artist died in Los Angeles on Oct. 15, 1955. His work is in the permanent collection of the Santa Cruz City Museum.
