Artist: Svend Svendsen (1864-1945). Svend Svendsen was born in Norway and immigrated to the U.S. in 1881. He is known for his landscapes, many of which look like Norway in the winter. This scene looks chilly, but has a very subtle warmth from the last light from the sun.
