Monterey Bay Plein Air: The US Dept of State as a recognized artist

Monterey Bay, California 8″ x 10″ [20cm x 16cm] Framed as shown approx 16″x 14″ [40cm x 36cm] I have been (February 2020) honored by the US Dept of State as a recognized artist. I was honored by the US Dept of State a year back with inclusion into the registry of American artist’s who have work in Consulate residences overseas. The attached photographs of the brochure published features a painting I did in Detroit, my birth place some time back. When purchased you will receive a complete vitae along with a certificate of authenticity as it is one of one. The work is oil on stretched canvas professionally mounted in a ‘plein aire’ style silver guilded wood frame. It will have a braided wire and ready to hang. Burr it was cold the other day in Monterey, CA yet the sky was clear and the sun was shining. Lots of tourists and folks just enjoying the views. Sea gulls swooping in and out I did see a few with fish they’d caught for lunch! Hah, I’m not having any! This is 8”x 10” oil on canvas will arrive framed as shown. (allow 4 weeks from today(Jan17,2022) for your order as it is still wet and needs to be sealed when dry.) When I paint plein aire I usually do not wish to interact with folks simply because I am focused on my work. In one case in Mexico I blurted out in French that I don’t speak Spanish or English….laughingly. The folks were from France so we carried on for a while in my limited French. (I do try to speak Spanish but limited as it is…)I live in Northern California and travel all over the state. I have traveled all over the US, Europe and parts of Asia. Went to College and Grad school here in CA, and have lived back East for many years. Not yet well known back in CA but will supply a complete vitae upon request.
