All have Champagne glasses on their heads, not sure if this was for a play?.
The image shows a hand-painted porcelain plaque, often referred to as «Sleeping Beauty» or «Reverie,» after an original painting by the artists Joseph Lieck or Angelo Asti. These plaques were popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
He was elected to the National Academy of Design in 1963 and in 1966 to the National Institute of Arts and Letters. It is an Original Oil on a Masonite board, c. 1960’s. The two woman are angled away, arms behind their backs and stretching forward.
Offered for sale is an Oil on Masonite Study of Multiple Nude Women – by New York/New Jersey Artist John Reilly (1942-2021) – unsigned but there is his estate stamp on the verso – very well executed with great colors and detail – there is a little corner bumping and edge wear, along with small scratches, but that would al be covered once framed – otherwise in excellent condition – 24″ x 31″.
