Procter was an art director there for an advertising agency for five years. In the 1930s he worked as a mining engineer throughout the West while in his leisure painting desert and western scenes. Born in Gloucester, Procter was infatuated with the Wild West and began drawing horses, cowboys and Indians as a small child.

Neil Boyle Painting Listed Artist American Western Bar Saloon Bartender Original

For sale is one original watercolor painting by well listed American artist Neil Boyle. This piece is of a happy bartender working at the Western saloon bar brothel. This is part of Boyle’s western Americana period where he painted many scenes of everyday life of the employees at old western saloons and brothels. This original work measures 24 by 19 inches and is on thick paper. It is unframed and is one of four pieces given to the owner by the artist in exchange for framing work several years ago. It has remained stored in a folio ever since along with three others shown. The other 3 are listed separately.
