This was hanging up in my childhood home from at least the 1970s through the late 2010s. I do not know when it was purchased but was probably 1960s or 70s during a trip to Santa Barbara. About the artist: Eugene Schmidt (1919-2007) is a German born artist who had an art gallery in Santa Barbara for many years. He resided and painted in Santa Barbara for over 45 years. He is most known for his realistic paintings of architecture and landscape, most notably California historical buildings such as the California Missions.
